Pictures on the banner were of Ben Oliver, Chairman of the lodge at the time. A.J.Cook, general secretary of the miners federation of Great Britain - 1926. The miners slogan was :- " Not a second on the day, nor a cent off the pay". Also shown is Ramsay Mac Donald ( in the centre ) Prime Minister of the first Labour Government ( minority ) 1924.
