Japanese Prisoner of War Camp at which Stanley Fish of Birtley was imprisoned. Released 4th September 1945. The big initials PW were painted on the roof to eliminate future bombing by B-29 bombers which had killed over 200 Americans in the camp. Note men walking around in yard near open gate.
