Mr Dixon with two of his buses at Cathgate. He also had a paraffin delivery service and was at one time in charge of the Empire Cinema at Stanley. He operated a bus service from Stanley to Dipton prior to the Venture. many people remember Dixon's buses with great affection from the time he operated the late buses to Stanley and Consett from Castle's Ballroom.
