Back of DMA miners banner for Tursdale Colliery Lodge, c1860. Moyes identifies this as the oldest surviving lodge banner, it is certainly older than the Big Meeting. Maker unknown. The picture includes general industrial scenes and would appear to be based on a union membership certificate dating from 1857. See 27289 for front.

Back of DMA miners banner for Tursdale Colliery Lodge, c1860-80. Dating a little after the other Tursdale banner (27289/90). Maker unknown. Picture is clearly a copy of the earlier Tursdale banner, which includes several industrial scenes and is based on a Union Mebership certificate of 1857. See 27291 for front.
