Horse gin on Stanhopeburn railway. This light gauge railway ran right up to the dressing floors of Stanhopeburn mine. (Appears to be on standard guage Stanhope Tyne Railway outside Crawley Engine House at hip of Crawley Bank.)

Covered water wheel driving pair of Brunton cloths or Brunton buddles. Immediately south of bouse teams alongside shieldhurs level mouth Note: at right hand side can be seen a dolly tub, used for final cleaning of ore. The heavy slimes were first treated on the Brunton cloths then the lead that came off the belt underneath wash. Given a final washing in the dolly tub. Stanhope Burn Mine
