Otto-Crossley Gas Engine
Otto-Crossley Gas Engine was used in an Undertaker’s/ Joiner’s workshop. It was purchased second hand by Mr Houliston in 1906, and originally powered a printing works. Probable date Circa 1895. Plate on engine reads: "Crossley Bros. Ltd., Manchester". Length: 2460mm x Height:1800mm x Width: 1240mm. Weight: 3 tons. 1977-1317.10

Thrush Francis Forster was a keen photographer and worked with Joseph Swan in Kells Lane South; he was also one of the founders of the St John Ambulance Brigade in Gateshead. His business was builder, joiner and undertaker.
