Strip quilt in 13 strips - Pink & blue. Reverse of white cotton. Quilting follows the strips in simple leaf pattern and diamond infill. Made by Mrs Harriet Adamson, wife of George Adamson, Carlisle House, Rookhope, engineer in local lead mines. c1900-3. Designed by Mrs Adamson herself in about 1900 and was kept for use in the guest room. Size 2.28 m square.

Strip quilt probably shortened. Now of 8 strips (4 bright blue and 4 pink printed material) Quilted in twist. Made by Mrs Philipson who died before 1855 and lived between Wolfcleugh and Rookhope at Rispey.

Corner design similar with diamond infill borders of Prince of Wales feathers. Drawn in Allenheads. c1903 but made in Rookhope about 1921 by Mrs Adamson. Size 2.74 x 2.14 m. Quilt cataloque No 2

Quilting follows strips in simple leaf pattern and diamond infill. Mrs Adamson - wife of George Adamson Carlisle House, Rookhope who was engineer in the local lead mines. c1900-3. It was designed by Mrs Adamson and kept for use in the guest room.
