Miners lamp - Patterson Type A1, c1913. This lamp was commonly used in the NE coal field.

Electrically ignited and magnetically locked. This lamp is locked and can only be unlocked using a powerful electromagnet on the base pin. When base is removed - one of the bars can be slid down and thus allowing the bonnet to be unscrewed. This lamp is as new (not used).
