Procession
Procession in Annfield Plain which took place to celebrate the relief of Mafeking shortly after the event 17 May 1900. Among the local gentlemen leading the procession are Mr J Parker, W Black, Mr M Robson, Mr J Rambley, Mr J Davies. It is shown starting in Durham Road just opposite the football field now occupied by the Dairy and Bakery. The farmbuildings on the far side were occupied by Mr R Wilson. The districts rejoicing culminated with a huge bonfire on Pontop Pike. 1900
