Watson family
Tin type photograph of Mr Watson and his family. Mr Watson was a miner and amateur photographer. He operated from his house at 10 South Moor Street, South Moor, Stanley and became well known throughout the Stanley area. Many of the old photographs of Stanley were taken by him, in particular the scenes showing the Jubilee Celebrations in the streets of Stanley. He also toured the various fairs and galas of the area taking photographs "while you wait". A major problem was getting paid, even though his work was the finest quality.
