A steam locomotive, likely to be Twizell (RS 2730/1891) pulling coal wagons along the Beamish Wagonway parallel to the road to No Place and Stanley. The white post on the left is the entrance to Beamish 2nd Pit. The line used to be twin track, but singled by time of photo. Housing behind trees is adjacent to Beamish Chapel.
