Eden Colliery
General view of Eden Colliery, Leadgate from South East; the Old Eden Colliery, near "Jolly Drovers" pub. Closed and demolished 1966, after which the name moved to the 2nd shaft, at Stony Heap, which became Eden Colliery. This finally closed in 1980.

Eden Colliery
General view of Eden Colliery, Leadgate. This Colliery was situated beside the Newcastle/Consett Road, beside the railway line near the Jolly Drovers pub. There was a 2nd shaft at Stony Heap below East Castle. Over the years the working moved and eventually the entire Colliery moved to Stony Heap taking the name `Eden' with it. The buildings shown hero were then demolished.
