Sketch book 1 (Photos 178000-178084) by Tom Lamb page 0a - stating "These sketch books were given to me in 1942 by my Uncle Boby, he salvaged them with other art materials from a warehouse in Newcastle after a German Air Raid. Tom Lamb started work below ground at Busty Pit, Craghead Colliery at 9am on Monday 11 May 1946, aged 18. He lived at 30 Beech Ville, Blackhouse, Edmondsley." Illustration of his token No 398.
