Durham City Horse Parade
Decorated horse and cart owned by Durham Co-operative Society, 6 Claypath, Durham City, 1927. This was an entrant in the Durham City Horse Parade. The cart was painted by Harrison's Coach Builders, Sunderland Road, Durham City. In the background is the former Wood and Watson's 'Pop' factory (demolished and now part of St Giles Close).

Lollipop man

A celebration gathering at the laying of the foundation stone for Durham City Baptist Church, Sunderland Road, 20th June 1959. The Rev J R Barrett of Leeds, Area Superintendent conducted the ceremony. The four central figures are l-r: Mr and Mrs J Cheek, Dan Nicholls and the Rev Roy W WIlliams.
