Postcard depicting a section of the meeting for Durham County Women's Day, June 9th 1923, taking place in Wharton Park, Durham City. The meeting was opened by Mrs Porteus, chairman of the Durham Labour Women's Advisory Council. 5000 women with banners walked in procession to the meeting which was attended by over 7000.
