Haulage Engine House

Engine house demolished 1963. Haulage engine at Beamish Museum. Stationary haulage engine which stood at summit of the rail line built by Stephenson in 1823 to carry coal from Hetton Colliery to Sunderland Dock. It went out of use in 1961.
