Armstrong Bridge

General view of Armstrong Bridge across Jesmond Dene in Newcastle, designed and manufactured by Sir W G Armstrong & Co, opened in 1878. Eight bays, 69 feet long, 26' 6" wide, closed to traffic 1963. In poor state of repair when photographs taken, in process of assessment for preservation or demolition.
