School milk scheme introduced to replace Milk in School Scheme sponsored by National Milk Publicity Council which supplied milk at 1d per 1/3pt. New scheme was supplying milk at 1/2d per 1/3pt, but became free in 1939. Examples of quantity of milk supplied to school children was Oct 1934 1,951,578 galls, Nov 1934 2,373,877 galls, Dec 1934 1,512,626.
