Book End

Pair of wooden book ends. Each end in semi-circular, when placed together they make a complete circle. Appear to be 1920s/1930s in design. They have green felt on the bottom. They belonged to the Donor's grandparents. 102mm wide, 81mm deep, 151mm high. The upright sides have become slightly loose., , The Donor's grandparents, David Thomas Blake and Mary Blake. They lived in Westleigh Gardens, Edgewear, London. Mary was born in 1887. David was was an engineer for London transport, Mary also worked on London Transport which is where they met. They originally lived where Victoria Bus station is, but were relocated when this was built. Mary moved to live with the family in Newcastle in the 1960s.
