Steam Crane
Side view of Steam Crane E1 that was built in 1887 by Black Hawthorn of Gateshead. It was used at Consett Iron Company. It was converted to oil burning in 1965. Taken out of service in 1975.
Its working load was 12.5 tons. Spare wooden patterns for various parts of E1 kept In Rowley attic. Also See Specs 1981-11, & 1981-69. Suffered from partial fire damage in October, 1986. Length: 9 metres. See file for details.

Two Spiracon Men
Two metal Spiracon men. The metal men originally stood at Consett Iron Company. Spiracon was the trademark name for the special manufacture of metal piping. The purpose of the men was to hold advertising signs for products associated to Consett Iron Company. See file for photograph. Height: 1800mm.
