Newburn Hall
A sketch of the rear view of Newburn Hall. This was a 15th century pele with a 16th century dwelling house attached. Messrs Spencers' Steel Works bought this and used it as a laboratory. In 1916 all but one length of wall was pulled down immediately to the railway. This remaining section is now listed. Inset is a sketch of the doorway a Newburn Hall. The sketch is signed H T Robinson.
