Box of toy Meccano No 1 Outfit, in original box, with instructions and some of the pieces. The box and isntructions are in fair condition and some of the pieces are missing. The instruction book contains an advert for the Meccano magasine which started in 1916, but does not list set No 7 which was introduced in 1922, the pieces are in the original metal colours, not coloured red or green. So the set was probably made between 1916 and 1921. It was said to belong to the donor's brother, Keneth, born 1947. But from the date of the set it possible belonged to his father or another memebr of the fa...
