Winner of prizes at leading shows and the Cawdon Cup Champion and Brydon Challenge Shield Reserve at Glasgow Stallion Show in 1916.

Bonnie Buchlyvie was bred by William Stirling & Sons, Darlingfield, Gordon, Berwickshire. And was the property of James Kilpatrick of Craigie Mains, Kilmarnock. He won the Cawdor Cup in 1909 and the Brydon Challenge Shield in 1916. During 1915 he was sold by public auction for 5000 guineas. The photograph was taken at Dene House, Dawdon Dene, Seaham Harbour.
