Family group outside 54 Joicey Terrace, Stanley, 1907. L-r: Robert Cutter, John (Jack) Cutter, Mary Cutter, baby is Mary Cutter (married name Jordan). Jack Cutter was an Oxhill man and made his living as a cobbler. He had a large body, massive shoulders and powerful arms, but his legs from the knees downwards were too small and weak to carry his body, so he went around on his hands and knees which were padded. To protect his hands he used two pieces of wood with handles on.
