Prof Henry Louis is the man who saved the Minute Books from the London Lead Co from being burnt by the liquidator at Middleton in Teesdale. He was a Consultant Geologist for the Weardale Lead Company. Mr Willis, once told Sir Kingsley Durham that he was the last manager alive who managed a mine for the London Lead Company.
