The Northumberland Ox
The Northumberland Ox inscription `The Ox was bred by Mr George Straker on Seaton Delaval, Northumberland and allowed by the first judges to be the largest and finest animal of the shorthorn breed ever produced in England. He is from the celebrated Stock of Charles Colling Esq. and descended from his unrivalled Bull `Comet'. He was sent over and shown in Dublin in March 1924 then but 5 years old and weighing 240 stones of 14lbs p. stone'
