"Benton" loco and miners beside it. The photograph bears the caption "Stanley Pit disaster", Benton", but it is possible that, apart from being photographed at the same time, the loco hasn't anything to do with the disaster. 0-4-0 Barclay saddle tank. Two of the men are holding shunting poles.

Steam locomotive
Hawthorn Leslie steam locomotive 0-4-0ST "HAWK" working at for Parson Byers Quarry (owned by Bell Brothers Ltd). Possibly originally built as a well tank and rebuilt as shown as a saddle tank. Latterly used as a stationary boiler (used to power rock drills) and likely to have been scrapped about 1923.
